Watch: Chechnya’s LGBT Survivors of Torture Speak Out

President of Chechnya  accused of 'eliminating' republic's gay community—which he says does not exist

More than 100 men in Russian’s federal subject of Chechnya have been rounded up and detained in secret prisons by authorities on suspicion of being gay in recent weeks, with many beaten and tortured, the Russian investigative newspaper Novaya Gazeta claimed. At least four are alleged to have been killed.

I'm sure the families take their sons and kill them. I'm sure they wouldn't hide them or help them flee.

Russia isn't as closed a country as it was. The story doesn't stack up. And then you see hrw involvement.!!!
