Ladies and Gentlemen, Children of all Ages, Welcome to the Sexiest Show on Earth! After two SOLD OUT runs in 1995 and 1998 this un-cut human act has finally returned to Singapore shores.

Written by Goh Boon Teck, directed by Rayann Condy and starring Shane Mardjuki, PURPLE is the REAL life story of Miss Maggie Lai, THE MOST FAMOUS TRANSSEXUAL IN SINGAPORE!

His Ah pa named him Hong Hua, 彩虹的虹，桦树的桦The Birch Tree Under The Rainbow, a beautiful name and UNISEX some more. Ah pa had very high hopes for his son. Would he have been so happy if he had known that this son would become a daughter?

At Bugis Street, Singapore’s cross-dress-Mecca, we enter Maggies arena then ride her sequined heels over to Johore Road, catch her feathered ferry to Changi Village and drown in her lip-stick Martini at Desker Road. Witness the exploits of a lavatory cruise addict who transforms into a hairdresser, masseuse, transvestite, transsexual, stripper, prostitute and movie star all in the blink of an eye! And be moved by the father that learns to love her through it all.

This bareback Freak Show is wilder than Big Cats, higher than the Flying Trapeze, more versatile than Contortionists and definitely hotter than the hottest Fire-eaters and yet more touching than...
