ShanghaiPRIDE would like to announce that registration for the Pride Run is now open!

As a traditional ShanghaiPRIDE outdoor sports event, this year’s Pride Run will be held on Saturday morning, 17-June. Runners will start from 6 various locations across Shanghai, representing the 6 colors of the Pride rainbow flag, and finishing at the Plaza of Andaz Xintiandi, Shanghai for complimentary brunch and colorful performances. Non-runners are welcome to join the Pink Brunch by registering at the door.

Registered runners will receive a goody bag which includes a Pride Run medal and a Pride9 edition t-shirt.

Suggested minimum donation for registration is RMB150. The proceeds from this year’s Pride Run will go towards the Common Language Rainbow Anti-Gender-Based Violence Service Center Hangzhou Station Project ”Growth Group”, set to commence in the second half of the year. Common Language is a community-based non-profit organization established in January 2005. Common Language focuses on Chinese communities suffering from oppression based on sexual orientation or gender identity, and endeavors to educate the general public on sexual diversity issues, eradicate discrimination, and fight for equal rights through community campaigns, public education, and policy advocacy. Since October 2016, Rainbow Anti-Gender-Based Violence Service Center has dealt with issues related to sexual orientation and gender choice, as well as helping to resolve conflict with family and partners. By providing social services such as counselling and hosting support groups, the organisation helps address issues of identity, life experiences, family relationships, managing emotions, personal development, etc. After a total of eight sessions, with the support of the growth group, parcitipants will learn to accept themselves and become mentally prepared to better handle the problems they encounter in life.

Follow the route leaders’ instructions and observe road safety and traffic regulations. Safety is our top priority.
Only bring items you need as we do not offer storage.
ShanghaiPRIDE and its affiliates are not liable for any loss or damages to your personal belongings, or accidents resulting in injuries or deaths.
As this is a fundraising event, there will be no refund if the Pride Run is cancelled due to bad weather or other reasons.
There will be no on-site registration on the day of the run event.
Your registration will only be considered successful when you have received a confirmation email, which includes the WeChat code of event. Please scan and join the group chat to help us get in touch with you.
An additional email will be sent one week before the event on 10-June, which will include the route map, gathering point, meeting time and other information about your chosen route.
For Pink Brunch (non-runners) attendees, please pay on-site at Andaz Xintiandi, Shanghai during the event.
