  women of color and Genderqueer/Gender Non-conforming youth of color (18 t
 o 25 years) who are African Descent/Black\, Asian/South Asian\, South West
  Asian/North African\, Pacific Islander\, Chicana/Latina\, Native American

 ipants. \n- Workshop participants will receive a stipend at the end of the
  workshop process upon completion of video project. \n- Our QWOCMAP office

 \nAs many people wish to attend our Filmmaker Training Program\, it is imp
 ortant that you can attend all 16 classes. If accepted\, you must be avail
 able for a 15-minute phone meeting/interview before the workshop begins. I

 QWOCMAP) creates\, exhibits and distributes new films that authentically r
 eflect the lives of queer women of color and connect multiple communities 
 to the vital social justice issues that concern us all. QWOCMAP works to i
 ncrease the visibility and power of our communities of through arts partic
 ipation and civic engagement to diversify the cultural fabric of society\,
  and create systemic change and social justice through art\, activism\, an
 d community building.\n\nWe actively invest in\, develop and nurture the c
 reativity of emerging media artists who are Asian/Pacific Islander\, Black
 /African American/African Descent\, Chican@/Latin@\, Native American/Indig
 enous/First Nations\, South Asian\, South West Asian/North African/Middle 
 Eastern and Mixed-Race lesbians\, bisexual\, transgender\, two-spirit\, qu
 eer and questioning women in the Bay Area. We include in our community tra
 ns and genderqueer people of color. We welcome our allies to participate i
 n our Queer Women of Color Film Festival.\n\nQWOCMAP provides professional
  training\, equipment\, screening opportunities and resources free of char
 ge to guarantee full access to our traditionally underserved community\, p
 articularly low-income and immigrant queer women of color.\n\n
