 ity or know of one?  I established this scholarship in 2007 to provide fin
 ancial assistance to lesbian\, gay\, bisexual and transgender (l/g/b/t) As
 ian and Pacific Islanders (API) for post-secondary Education. This scholar
 ship is to help LGBT youth proudly achieve educational pursuits and dreams
  without shame.  \n\nThis scholarship awards up to two outstanding student
 s annually\, a combined scholarships totaling up to $15\,000. These schola
 rships are renewable for a maximum of three more years (a total of four ye
 ars) provided each student annually meets the renewal requirements.\n\nThi
 s is the 5th year this scholarship will be awarded.\n\n\nPrevious years’

 st meet all of the following eligibility requirements:\n\n·      Self-ide
 ntified as Asian/Pacific Islander and lesbian\, gay\, bisexual or transgen
 der\; (at least 25% API ancestry)\;  and involved in the LGBT community\;
 \n\n·      Graduate from a high school in one of the nine Bay Area counti
 es\; Alameda\, Contra Costa\, Marin\, San Francisco\, San Mateo\, Santa Cl
 ara County\, Napa\, Sonoma or Solano\;\n\n·      Scholarship will be awar
 ded for full-time (minimum 12 units for all semesters/quarters) enrollment
  in an accredited two\, four-year university or graduate school\; (college
 \, university\, community college or vocational school).\n\n·      United
  States citizen or legal resident\;\n\n·      Demonstrated financial hard
 ship\;\n\n·      Demonstrated academic promise\;\n\n·      Minimum grade
  point average 3.0 (on a scale of 4.0)\;\n\n·      Be between the age of
