 ts usually have a background in a variety of social and political science 
 disciplines and include Labour Ministry officials\, labour market research
 ers\, NGO and trade union researchers and activists as well as other natio
 nal and international officials in a variety of areas connecting to work a
 nd employment.\n\nThis mixture of professional backgrounds and the large v
 ariety of nationalities and cultures among staff and students provide the 
 exceptional participatory learning environment that characterises the ISS.

  an MA student from the Global South and East in the area of decent work f

  intersexual (LGBT) persons!\n\nThe Dreilinden gGmbH has joined hands with
  the International Institute of Social Studies of Erasmus University Rotte
 rdam (ISS) for capacity building in the area of decent work for lesbian\, 
 gay\, trans- and intersexual (LGBT) persons. Dreilinden provides a related
  scholarship for an MA student from the Global South and East. The selecte
 d applicant will participate in the ISS MA Programme in Development Studie
 s with a major in Work\, Employment and Globalisation (WEG). Eligible appl
 icants are nationals of a developing or transition country and have a docu
 mented background in work for human/labour rights for LGBT persons. We wel
 come applications for the academic year 2011/12 (closing date is July 1\,
