DESCRIPTION:https://www.fridae.asia/tc/agenda/8330\n\nThe Freedom Film Fest
ival (FFF) is the first film event of its kind\, adopting themes encompass
ed in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). First launched in
 2003 in Kuala Lumpur\, the festival now tours Penang\, Johor\, Sarawak\, S
abah and Singapore. In 2009 and early 2010\, the FreedomFilmFest made its
way to London when a group of volunteers offered to screen a retrospective
of FFF films and FFF winning films of 2010.\n\nIt was developed by KOMAS
to advocate human rights awareness and issues through the use of the film
medium. In addition to promoting the use of popular communications for edu
cation\, the festival seeks to encourage the public to document their stor
ies and share with others through films and discussions.\nIt is for this r
eason that the FreedomFilmFest is based on its’ recurring theme “DARE
TO DOCUMENT”\; it challenges the public to document and share their stor
ies without fear or hesitation.\n\nSarawak\n\n20 Oct – Harbour View Hote
