A Florida elementary school teacher who played a "tempter" on the TV show Temptation Island 2 may be fired from his job after school officials after learned of the teacher's appearances in gay porn videos running on the Internet, reports the Associated Press.

Tony Vanchieri, 26, first caught the eye of concerned parents last year when he appeared on the TV show Temptation Island 2 as a "tempter" who tried to lure women away from their boyfriends.

Last December, the physical education teacher at Coconut Creek Elementary was assigned a desk job immediately after allegations surfaced in a phone call placed to the school investigation office. School officials declined to reveal how they knew of the Web site content or to name the caller but specified that it wasn't a parent.

According to a school district investigation, a professional standards committee recommended that Vanchieri should be fired for violating standards of conduct.

"It wasn't a private act. It was done with the intent to be public… A public display of sex crosses the line for a teacher." Said Broward School Superintendent Frank Till who supports the recommendation to fire Vanchieri.

The school board eventually will decide on the Monday firing recommendation.
