This is such a sad piece of news.
I did not know of him, but any beautiful young soul who feels betrayed by a cruel world deserves our sympathy.
Thoughts go out to his family and friends in their suffering.

This is so tragic ... to think he would do this. Where was his support where were his friends. It is a big loss in so many ways. To think he felt he had no other way out but to stop his life is just so sad. I hate to see this happen. It is a difficult path for LGBT people and when you see this it just confirms how difficult their lives can be. My thoughts are with his family.

This just gives more credence to push for more education and social understanding of people's sexual orientation. South Korea is controlled by a bunch of religious zealots that cannot work for the good of the people. They want only to support what THEY believe in, NOT what is right for society.
So sad this young man died in this matter. My condolences goes out to his family and friends.
I hope one day soon, South Korea changes their thinking on the LGBT community to one of a positive position. Life is too short to fight about the small things we encounter through our journey here on earth. We need more peace on earth for next year!

I know the Jjimjilbangs and gay saunas were always packed when I lived in ROK -- unlike, USA these saunas were generally clean, safe from crime, respectful. I say this, because all these "conservative" Koreans are filled with "closeted" men and those brave enough to openly share their lifestyle are even attacked by the same men.
I am sure is suicide though may be related to how his family, peers and others affected his mental being much less the very exploitative nature of how these boybands or k-Pop stars are managed. May he R.I.P.

Depression can happen to anyone without reason.

It's so very sad. Sometimes it takes the tragedy of a celebrity to begin a movement of change in some cultures. Hopefully, his fans have a new awareness of sexuality they could never have before, As they age while their conservative elders pass on, changes for acceptance may occur in Korean society.

All Gays must get education on how to deal with depression. I also been in depression and able to make own Therapy for that.

I also found a gay in Depression about a week ago, he just came out from Psychiatric Clinic. I was Curios and suspicious about Psychiatric behavior, Then i came to the boy by asking what Psychiatric did to him?

Then, i gave little advice to the boy that did not give by psychiatric. Not, only me, there were others told the boys on how to deal with depression and who's Sin is that? offcourse it was not Sin the Boy, who should be insisted responsibility and should pay the case?

It is very sad story ...As a Korean gay, I think the Korean government and leading opinion of the society needs to be get education and show the respect to the LGBTQ community. Those all afraid who doesn't get support by the general people, they should show respectful behaviours for the LGBTQ. Anyway, For the young Korean who lives under the uniform conservative society values, You will be ok to show the respect to the people who is different. That is the way people lives on the earth and live with a international society values and get over the unreasonable traditional values. This is the global world we are living right now. So be yourself and live with a who you are....I know it is hard to change the people's uneducated bias mind, but All we can give a inspiration to show my respect to others in this world. With this issue, I think the Korean society needs to change from top thru the education same time. ....Be strong yourself,and you remember that sucide is not a option to make better... 20, I don't know of any definite cure for depression other than what health care professionals will try, e.g. Anti depressant drugs, cbt, regression therapy to find triggers, nutrition advice, and exercise, etc.
