This shitbomb tries to parody the blockbusters of the last two years, including Chronicles of Narnia, Harry Potter and Superman Returns, but it only ends up tainting our fond memories of these good films with its cheap-shots and annoying jokes.

Take, for example, its joke about Charlie & the Chocolate Factory: Willie Wonka's chocolate river is not actually made of chocolate but... yeah, that. Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp's character in Pirates of the Caribbean) has also been renamed Captain Jack Swallow. There isn't a single joke in Epic Movie that's witty or memorable.

Spoofs became a popular genre with the success of films like Airplane!, This Is Spinal Tap, Top Secret and The Naked Gun. But while these films made fun of certain film conventions, they also had their own proper plots and characters. Their jokes were witty and original. Till now, people would watch them for a good laugh.

But the makers of Epic Film are too lazy to think of such things. They prefer to string together a series of really bad sketches using fart and sex jokes. If that's what comedy has become, then we are all in serious sh** . Then again, that's exactly where the makers want us to be.
