Elektra

Director: Rob Bowman

Starring: Jennifer Garner, Goran Visnjic, Will Yun Lee, Terence Stamp, Hiro Kanagawa

Screening: 2005-01-18

Strictly speaking, the only people who may like this movie are
dykes who:

1) love Jennifer Garner (of Alias fame) and want to see
her in a red-hot superhero costume,

2) are forgiving by nature, and

3) like cheesy action movies.

The boys should skip this and spend their time at the gym so that
they can turn into real superheros for their partners.

Based on the Marvel Comic character, Jennifer plays Elektra, the
martial-arts specialist and contract killer who has been hired to
murder the handsome Mark Miller (Goran Visnjic of ER fame)
and his daughter. A flash of conscience stops Elektra from carrying
out the deed. Subsequently she changes alliances and wants to protect
the family instead.

Whatever... not only is the plot contrived, the action choreography
is cheap, shoddy and very unsatisfying. Well, at least if the movie
doesn't hold up, Jennifer's sexy costume and its C-cups do.
