Director Wong Jing doesn't understand the meaning of shame. His
Kung Fu Mahjong is a clear copycat of Stephen Chow's excellent
comedy-actioner Kung Fu Hustle, and stars Yuen Wah and
Yuen Qiu as well.

But from the looks of it, audiences may not mind. Opening in Hong
Kong last week, the movie went straight to No. 1 at the box-office
— even though many of its gags are obviously inspired by or
even copied from Kung Fu Hustle.

The plot centres on a teahouse waiter who has a prodigious memory
and wins every mahjong game he plays. His boss takes him to the
big casinos of Macau, where he proceeds to win big. But trouble
starts when he attracts the attention of a notorious hustler...
