Yeah, the title sounds kinda dumb, but the film is actually a terrific
piece of family entertainment.

Like its 1995 sister movie Jumanji starring Robin Williams,
Zathura is adapted from a popular picture book by Chris
Van Allsburg. Child actors Jonah Bobo and Josh Hutcherson play two
brothers who stumble on an old magical boardgame in the basement
of their home. As they start to play it, they find that every twist
and turn of the game immediately becoming a reality. Soon, the boys
are traveling through deep space, navigating black holes and battling
extraterrestrials and evil robots.

With slick special effects and eye-popping creature designs, Zathura
is a must-watch if you're a science fiction fan, however old you
happen to be.
