Tis the season: The weather is getting warmer and as the weight of winter melts off our shoulders- BOOM! time for taxes. If you're like me, this can be a very confusing time. So many numbers and papers and words I just don't understand.

Sound familiar? You're in luck! This year we have our fabulous bookkeeper Cory coming in to help us out!

What we need from you: those forms employers send you at the end of every year- maybe it's a W-2, W-4, or a 10-99 misc (if you've recieved a stipend from FIERCE in 2010 it's a 10-99) and anything else tax related. e.g. things you got in the mail about student loan payments, interest income, etc.

FIERCE is a membership-based organization building the leadership and power of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) youth of color in New York City. We develop politically conscious leaders who are invested in improving ourselves and our communities through youth-led campaigns, leadership development programs, and cultural expression through arts and media. FIERCE is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of social justice movement leaders who are dedicated to ending all forms of oppression.

The FIERCE office is open for drop-in hours for LGBTQ youth of color (ages 13-24) Monday through Friday from 4:00 - 8:00pm.
