Watch: Filipino Support Group Reaches Out to Young Professional MSM

Love Yourself is an organization made up of volunteers, providing a safe space for MSM to meet and discuss issues like HIV/AIDs.

As the demographic of men who contract HIV in the Philippines becomes younger, support groups for MSMs like Love Yourself help to address their concerns.

Made up largely of young professionals, the group’s mission is to inspire others to “embrace and nurture” their self-worth in order to create positive change among LGBT youth and MSM.

Danvic Rosadiño, project manager of Love Yourself, emphasizes that involvement in the group is voluntary and happens in men’s “free time.”

“We don’t require them to come here,” he says in a video shared by GMA News on YouTube. Of the support group, he adds: “We always promote…[it as] a ‘safe space.’”
