new men-only club to open in singapore

One Seven, touted to be Singapore's largest men-only fitness club, will open its doors on Friday, April 13 2001.

In recent months, the Singapore scene has been rife with anticipation and speculation about One Seven, a new men-only sauna and fitness club. One-Seven will officially open to the public on the April 13, with a special, by-invitation-only preview party to be held on the evening of the 12th. Invited guests (who can register on the one-seven website) will enjoy free entrance from 6pm to midnight, and will receive complimentary passes for their next visit when they fill out a user-survey.

With its spanking new facilities, huge floor space and discreet, well-trained staff, many expect One Seven to become the Singapore scene's favourite playground. Its location also adds to the convenience: One Seven is sandwiched between two major bar strips, and is within a few minutes distance of many of the Singapore scene's favourite hangouts.

Some of the facilities include a state-of-the-art gym with machines and free weights, open-air hydro-pool where guests can soak their aching bodies, huge (the size of a bank vault) steam room, many private rooms for small and large group activities, as well as a caf to meet the guests' more mundane hungers. They also aim to provide partygoers with a late night venue on weekends, continuously staying open from Friday afternoon all the way till Monday morning. The majority of clubs and bars in Singapore close at 3am.

More exclusive Fridæ reports on One Seven to follow.

One Seven is located at 17 Upper Circular road (between Boat Quay and Clarke Quay).
