We thought we'd save the best for last.

Alexander Payne's comedy Sideways has been called the
best American film of 2004 by practically every film magazine in
US.

Nominated for five major Oscar awards, including Best Picture and
Best Director, this sparkling, witty and heartbreaking comedy tells
the story of two male buddies who go on a road trip together with
unexpected consequences.

Ex-playboy (Thomas Haden Church) is about to be married. But before
he settles down, he want his buddy (Paul Giamatti) to accompany
him on on a road trip as his last chance for having some fun. On
the road, they meet two women (Virginia Madsen and Sandra Oh) who
change one of their lives forever.

Sideways is titled such because it is about people who
want to move forward in their lives, instead of constantly moving
sideways. And trust us, the film is not as threateningly "cheem"
as its long list of raves, accolades and awards make it look.

Sideways is actually a sweet and likeable film, filled
with sympathetic characters. So forget the hype, sit back and enjoy
the ride. It's one of the most pleasant you'll get this year.
