We'll get to the review in a moment. First we have to tell you about the absolutely gorgeous singer-actor Pablo Puyol, whose masculine looks and solid Tom-of-Finland physique had us lusting after him ever since we saw the movie. Seriously, 300 may have hundreds of hot guys, but none of them sizzle quite in the way that this Spanish stud does.
In this hilarious musical-comedy, Monica Cervera plays a pre-op transsexual with an impressively large penis, 20 cm to be exact. She is also narcoleptic, which means she has an inconvenient tendency of falling asleep anytime anywhere. Like all trannies, Monica dreams of being a full-fledged woman without a joystick between her thighs.
Then she meets the gorgeous fruit-seller Pablo, who just loves to blow. Of course, Pablo is impressed by the large appendage that Monica has, and the two embark on a passionate affair. The question is: Should or shouldn't Monica cut her penis off? If she does, she may lose the cock-fixated Pablo who's possibly the hottest man on the face of the earth...
Directed by Ramon Salazar, this outrageous Spanish musical-comedy owes a great debt to early Pedro Almodovar films like Law of Desire and Kika. The florid settings, the bizarre characters, the unpredictable storyline and the campy, brazen humor are all reminiscent of his films.
Ramon, however, goes one step further by having Monica burst into song-and-dance every time she falls into a deep sleep and starts dreaming. She sings classics by Queen, Madonna, Dusty Springfield, and does one hilarious parody of Michael Jackson's Thriller music video. This is the gayest film of the week, maybe of the month. Don't miss it!
