Listen to Martin Solveig ft Dev "We Came To Smash"

Listen: "We Came To The Smash", a banging pop jam that marks a key moment on the record that sets the tone and theme for the entire album.

Martin Solveig's fantastic fifth studio album "Smash" is a hit-loaded compilation of forward dance pop tunes that features some very exciting and unexpected collaborations. After the global success of "Hello," the eccentric and quirky French DJ and producer once again teamed up with Dragonette's sassy Martina Sorbara for three additional album cuts. Solveig also worked on tracks with U.K. pop singer Sunday Girl and Bloc Party's Kele.

One of the most exciting features on "Smash" is Solveig's collaboration with rising global pop sensation Dev on "We Came To The Smash." It's a banging pop jam that marks a key moment on the record that sets the tone and theme for the entire album. (Stay tuned for my video interview with Martin Solveig in which he talks more about his work with Dev.)

After Dev's signature work with her pals of The Cataracs, it is exciting to hear Dev's vocals combined with a different sonic flavoring. Solveig adds spit and shine plus his sleek French production sensibilities to the singer's straight up, party-starting delivery that is a perfect match on this banger.

This new tune is more proof that Dev is slowly but surely coming into her own as a solo artist. And by contributing her vocals to tracks like "We Came To Smash" she neatly shows off her pop versatilty and leading edge in the emerging dance pop generation.
