Hong Kong Tycoon offers HK$1 Billion to Man Who Can Win his Lesbian Daughter’s Heart.

Hong Kong Tycoon Cecil Chao has doubled his original offer of HK$500 million to the man that successfully marries his daughter, Gigi Chao.

Cecil Chao has revamped attempts to find his lesbian daughter, Gigi Chao, a husband, he revealed in an interview with a Malaysian newspaper this week. Although his original offer two years ago received over 20,000 suitors, Chao lamented the fact that no one had yet convinced his daughter to marry them.
Chao said of Gigi “I only hope for her to have a good marriage and children as well as inherit my business.” He also stated that he believed his daughter could still change her mind about her sexuality as she was only 33.
Gigi responded to her father’s recent proposition in an interview with the South China Morning Post. Here, she claimed “I don't think my dad's offering of any amount of money would be able to attract a man I would find attractive”
Gigi is already married to her partner, Sean Eav, and the couple has been together for nine years. Gigi is an executive director of her father’s property development empire but is also involved in charity work, founding her own organization, the Faith in Love Foundation. She is an outspoken advocate of LGBT rights and a founding member of the Big Love Alliance.
Pink Alliance Chairman Reggie Ho Lai-kit pointed out that Chao’s actions are a result of one of the common phases of a parents’ reaction to their child’s sexuality. "Mr Chao is still going through the denial process, thinking money can solve any problem including those involving his daughter," Ho said.
Gigi laughed off the original offer in 2012, saying that it showed how much her father loved her. The latest revelation however, is said to have upset her partner Sean Eay. Gigi stated that she was still close with her father but that they had very different views about love and family life.
In regards to a potential husband, she said “I would be happy to befriend any man willing to donate huge amounts of money to my charity, Faith in Love, provided they don't mind that I already have a wife.”
