Klaus Burkart of Germany is crowned Mr Gay World 2015

 

German milk technician beats 20 contestants to take home title of Mr Gay World 2015 in Cape Town, South Africa. Hong Kong's Emmanuel Mass Luciano is awarded first runner up.

After a week of tough challenges and a glitzy and glamorous final, the winner of Mr Gay Worl 2015 was handed to  21 year old delegate from Germany, Klaus Burkart.

The week of challenges included an art challenge in which delegates presented their visions and dreams for LGBTI communities in their home countries in original pieces of art, The sports challenge tested teamwork, strength and agility in games of golf, canoeing and volleyball. 

Klaus Burkart is 1.83m tall and works as a milk technician. He has stated that as Mr Gay World he hopes to be 'a role model for young gay men all over the world and help them with their coming out and also change young people's opinion of homosexuality.' The German also expressed a desire 'to lead the world to a point where it is not essential to even have a coming out.'

Other contestants making it into the top 5 included Troy Michael Jonsson (Iceland), Jordy De Smedt (Belgium), Tomi Lappi (Finland), and Emmanuel Mass Luciano (Hong Kong).
