taipei police arrest 27 men at house party for drugs

Twenty-seven men were arrested at a gay sex party in a Taipei apartment last Friday, making it the second case this year.

Taiwanese police raided a residential apartment and arrested 27 men. According to Phoenix TV, the men were found naked and police uncovered a large supply of ecstasy, amphetamine and other drugs; making the arrests the second drug bust at a home sex party case this year. The report did not specify the exact amount of drugs found.

The Taipei police department revealed the raid was activated almost immediately after some residents reported a large gathering of gay men at the apartment.

According to the police statement cited by the report, all the 27 men were totally naked and in a state of "daze" when they were hauled to the station for interrogation.

In January this year, Taipei police also found almost 100 gay men in underwear at a party where ecstasy was freely available at the venue. The police also found hundreds of ecstasy pills and amphetamine. The health department subsequently found more than 20 of the gay men are infected with the HIV virus.
