Anti-gay group in Singapore linked to radical Islamist

Lawrence Khong, senior pastor of anti-gay group Faith Community Baptist Church and detained radical islamist Zulfikar Shariff are both admins of anti-gay Facebook page, according to screen grab.

Facebook user Otto Fong has shared a screen grab that purports to show both Shariff and Khong as admins of page  ‘We Are Against Pink Dot in Singapore’ (WAAPD).

Shariff was arrested in Singapore on 29 July for using social media to propagate and promote ISIS and armed jihad.

Zulfikar was an avid supporter of the ‘WearWhite’ campaign which started in the year 2014, to protest against the Pink Dot movement. It uses the WAAPD Facebook page.

Khong and his LoveSingapore Christian movement later collaborated with the Muslim community in this campaign against Pink Dot.

Also among group admins is Mohd Khair Mohd Noor, founder of SuChi, which runs sexuality education programmes.
