Handbook and training initiative launched to sensitise police to reality of Trans people’s lives in Thailand

Thailand’s Police are trying to be more Trans-friendly

a joint study conducted by the UN Development Program (UNDP) and Thailand’s Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, which found that Thailand lacked guidelines on body searches, detention and imprisonment of transgender persons, making them victims of mistreatment, harassment and violation by officials.  Read more here or on further Related Links below. This comes after other positive news that Thailand in pushing forward with preparations for same-sex Lifetime Partnership legislation.
