Taiwan votes in important referendum on same-sex marriage tomorrow (Saturday)

Voters head to the polls in Taiwan with important LGBT issues including same-sex marriage at stake.

As voters head to the polls in Taiwan on a very important day for the LGBT Community, it has been reported that Anti-LGBT Campaigners have spent more than US$3 million on a campaign against same-sex marriage and LGBT-related education.

However, almost 140,000 attended Taiwan Pride, which was themed in support of same-sex marriage and other important LGBT issues, and last week more than 100,000 similarly demonstrated in support in Taipei.

At Taiwan’s public vote, there are a number of important decisions at stake – read more here!

We hope that love will win and that Taiwan will become the first in Asia to formalise same-sex marriage and give our Community all across Asia hope for the future.
