Singapore to tighten adoption laws after Gay Man adopts surrogate son

The Singapore government’s belief is that adoption is for parents who are ‘a man and a woman’.

In December of last year, it looked like Singapore might be turning a corner when its highest Court ruled that a Gay Man could adopt a child he had through a surrogate in the US.

Should anyone have thought that this ‘International City’ might thus be becoming more enlightened, its Chief Justice quickly pointed out that this was not the case! Now, following this historic ruling, the Singapore government wants to change its laws to stop this happening again.
In a further demonstration of the ‘enlightenment’ of its lawmakers, a notorious Singapore MP has questioned whether RuPaul’s Drag Race is safe for Singapore!
