Cry Wolf

Director: Jeff Wadlow

Starring: Julian Morris, Lindy Booth, Jared Padalecki, Jon Bon Jovi

Screening: 2006-03-14

Teenagers might enjoy this intricate cat-and-mouse teen thriller
starring some dishy young actors. But jaded viewers might find it
a frightful waste of time because it brings nothing new to the teen
slasher genre.

Cry Wolf stars twinkish actor Julian Morris as the handsome
new boy on campus, who gets inducted into a secret club set up by
some bored and nasty kids. The club's leader is hot college vamp
Dodger (sexpuss Lindy Booth) who loves to pull pranks.

When a girl is mysteriously murdered, the gang decides to trick
the whole school into believing that there is a serial killer at
large. They even design a look for the killer, telling everyone
he wears a camou jacket and an orange ski-mask. Sure enough, a killer
in camou jacket and orange ski-mask pops up on campus to stalk the
students.

The movie moves rapidly along, and the cast deliver their performances
with vim and vigor. But it is a small, forgettable thriller that
is best watched on video, accompanied by pizzas, beer and noisy
gay friends.
