Many Countries around the World have now introduced full LGBT Marriage Equality or some form of Same-sex Civil Partnership structure.

In a very positive development, Thailand’s Tourism Authority has become an official sponsor of The White Party Bangkok. 

The night before World AIDS day, Heroes of HIV prevention, LGBT rights and community health were among nine people and organisations who were honoured at the 2018 Asia Pacific HERO Awards gala in Bangkok on Friday night.

Standing for HIV, Equality and Rights, the HERO Awards is an annual gala event in Bangkok which acknowledges outstanding service to the HIV response in Asia and the Pacific, and to the region’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) communities.

With the positive developments in Thailand on same-sex partnerships, it is great to also see an Out LGBT Asian athlete doing well. 

With a number of setbacks for the LGBT Community in Asia, it is good to see Thailand moving forward with preparations for possible legalisation for same-sex partnerships. 

Representatives from 13 countries across Asia and the Pacific gathered in Bangkok, Thailand, on October 29-31 to develop road-maps to implement and expand pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and HIV self-testing in the region.
