Foreign diplomatic missions have for the first time participated in the annual Korea Queer Cultural Festival to demonstrate support that their countries have for the LGBT community in South Korea.
Organizers of Seoul's annual gay-pride parade say they will go ahead with this year's celebration despite the city municipality revoking its permission to do conduct such an event.
A South Korean rights organization is to showcase photos about the difficulty lesbians, gays, bisexual and transgender people face growing up so as to draw attention of the public and policy makers against homophobia and discrimination in society.
