General Thomas Fairfax led the parliamentary armies
to victory over King Charles I during the English Civil Wars of
1640. Fairfax was committed to making England fair and free for
all. However, he found himself divided by loyalty to the woman he
loved and commitment to his friend, Oliver Cromwell, whose own determination
to change the face of English society, would mean the execution
of Fairfax’s mentor, King Charles.
An epic story about friends in war, and how they made a difference
to the future of the new England.
