The Eurovision Song Contest (French: Concours Eurovision de la Chanson) is an annual competition held among active member countries of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). Each member country submits a song to be performed on live television and then casts votes for the other countries' songs to determine the most popular song in the competition. Each country participates via one of their national EBU-member television stations, whose task it is to select a singer and a song to represent their country in the international competition.

Set in a fictitious school named William McKinley High School in Lima, Ohio, this show is attracting a diverse group of people. It's based on a group of glee club goers that endure harassment from their peers because they are in glee club, yet manage to express themselves so eloquently through their singing. The cast members include an Asian with an angelic voice (Jenna Ushkowitz), the token gay student played by Christopher Colfer, the cute Asian with the mad dance moves (Harry Shum Jr.), a disabled bodied but talented rock singer (Kevin McHale), the hot boy-next door (Cory Monteith), a TILF (teacher I'd like to F*&!), and a girl who knows she can sing and dance better than anyone else (Lea Michele). Surely, we can all relate to one or more persons from the show and you know you're singing along in the comfort of your living room sofa when the show is on. ;o)

Torchwood (pronounced /ˈtɔrtʃwʊd/) is a British science fiction television programme, created by Russell T Davies. It deals with the machinations and activities of the Cardiff branch of the fictional Torchwood Institute, which deals mainly with incidents involving extraterrestrials. An initial 13-part series was commissioned by the BBC as a spin-off from the 2005 revival of the long-running science fiction programme Doctor Who with which it is closely interlinked. The main cast consists of John Barrowman, Eve Myles, Burn Gorman, Naoko Mori and Gareth David-Lloyd. Gorman and Mori left the programme after the second series, with Kai Owen promoted from a recurring role to the main cast in series 3. Torchwood explores several themes in its narrative, in particular LGBT themes. Various characters are portrayed as sexually fluid; through those characters, the series examines homosexual and bisexual relationships.
