Sometimes regarded as the most indigenous Malaysian film made,
Rabun is the first film made by the director of Sepet
(Best Asian Film, Tokyo International Film Festival).
An old couple who has spent a large part of their lives in the
city returns to the family house in their village, and things look
idyllic in all that flora and fauna until the country folks get
the better of them.
This very rare screening will be followed by a talk by writer and
director Yasmin Ahmad, who has given a new voice to independent
filmmaking in Malaysia. her new film Gubra is in production
now.
