You might have seen the cool trailer for this horror trilogy made
by three directors from three different countries (Thailand, Japan,
Hong Kong). But please don't be fooled. Black Night is
an extremely bad film. You would think that with three stories,
at least one of them might be good. As it turns out, all three are
unwatchable.

Hong Kong director Patrick Leung has the dubious honor of starting
the show with his segment about a woman (Annie Liu) who decides
to go back to her ex-boyfriend (Dylan Kuo) only to discover his
dark secret. This segment is so bad that during the preview screening,
the critics laughed at all the scary parts.

The second segment by Japan's Takahiko Akiyama is a boring and
unscary tale of a woman (Asaka Seto) whose closest friends and relations
die when they hurt her feelings.

The third segment by Thailand's Thanit Jitnukul centers on a woman
(Pitchanart Sakhakorn) who sees dead people. The stories are painfully
unoriginal, the editing is messy, the make-up for the ghosts is
hopelessly third-rate. Do not waste your money on this.
