Yet another film based on a Japanese manga series, A Battle of Wits take you to China in 243 BC where the land is divided by seven warring states and numerous smaller tribes.

The small city of Liang (population 4,000) is currently under threat of invasion by the large state of Zhao, whose huge armies are led by the ferocious commander Xiang Yangzhong (Ahn Sung-Ki). Unfortunately, the people of Liang are made up of mostly farmers and civilians. They haven't the slightest notion of how to fight Xiang's well-trained and fully-equipped troops.

Desperate for help, they decide to seek out the dirty and disheveled warrior Ge Li (Andy Lau) to teach them how to fight the invaders. Though Ge Li looks nothing like what they imagine a warrior would look like, they have no choice but to rely on his advice...
