The Singapore AIDS Candlelight Memorial will be held on Sunday, 18 May 2003, 7pm at the Youth Park (National Youth Council) along Somerset Road, diagonally across from Orchard Cineleisure.
The Memorial is held in conjunction with the 20th International AIDS Candlelight Memorial and Mobilisation Initiative which started in the United States. The Memorial will be observed simultaneously in over 300 cities around the world to honour the lives and memory of those who have fallen to the scourge of HIV/AIDS.
The official theme of the Memorial is "Remember the Cause, Renewing our Commitment". It is a stark and timely reminder that we cannot disregard the
arduous nature of the task before us.
