gCircuit and Mighty Asia announce 4 mega parties in Bangkok, Dec 31 - Jan 3

If you're looking to welcome 2009 with a big bang, party organiser gCircuit and newcomer to the scene Mighty Asia have got a hot proposition for you.

Party organisers gCircuit and Mighty Asia are collaborating for the first time to present four uniquely themed mega-parties in Bangkok over the New Year's Day weekend.

Featuring four world-renowned DJs, gCircuit presents NYE09 with a special countdown show on Dec 31 and Fantasia 2 on Jan 2 while Mighty Asia will host Jubilation! on Jan 1 and One World, Together on Jan 3.

No stranger to partygoers in the city that never sleeps, gCircuit had received accolades for its Midsummers Dream and Songkran parties since 2007. This year, organisers say punters can expect a brand new experience as the parties will be held at Moon Star Studios.

In keeping with its tradition, Fantasia 2 will feature a fetish theme with prizes worth up to 50,000 baht (US$1,500).

The DJ lineup for gCircuit's events will feature Edson Pride, one of the hottest rising DJs from Sao Paulo, Brazil and DJ Tye, a favorite from Los Angeles, US.

A DJ since 1992 and producer since 2004, Edson Pride is well-known for his anthem remixes of popular diva tracks such as Britney Spear's "Pieces of Me" to most lately, Rihanna's "Disturbia". He currently holds residence in one of Sao Paulo's most prominent club, Alternativo Fever Club.

Having played at gCircuit's first Fantasia party, DJ Tye has developed quite a following in Asia. He growing list of impressive accolades includes remixing platinum award winning artist Billy Myers latest song "Just Sex," having played with Boy George and Chris Cox at the esteemed Avalon Nightclub in Hollywood, and a four year successful residency at the world famous Abbey. Tye currently holds two esteemed residencies in the US West Coast (Reflex Afterhours and Rich's San Diego).

Mighty Asia's headlining DJs Offer Nissim (Israel) and Tony Moran (US) who first played in Asia at Fridae's Nation.VI party in 2006 in Phuket, will wow partygoers at the Bangkok Convention Center at Central World.

After electrifying party goers from all over the world with his performances, Offer Nissim will finally be making his debut in Asia on January 1st at "Jubilation!" The DJ/Producer and his music remixes has established - during the course of the past 25 years - a reputation as one of the most prominent and leading musical creators in the world's club scene. Nissim's biggest hits include "That's The Way I Like It," "First Time," and "Happy People" featuring Maya Simantov.

Back by popular demand, Tony Moran, one of the world's best-known producers and remixers for pop divas including Deborah Cox, Mariah Cary, and Rihanna will close the weekend on a high note at One World, Together" on Jan 3. He was voted Asia's Favorite International DJ on the 2008 Fridae ae List.

The four-day event will also see DJ Princess Ann (Malaysia) opening for Edson Pride on Dec 31, and DJ Tye on Jan 2, and DJ Louis T (Malaysia) opening for Offer Nissim on Jan 1 and Tony Moran on Jan 3.

Would love to go but the economy crisis is hitting hard on America on Europe. Definitely will affect Asia. Can afford the trip but the ticket is way over price.

Agreed with "jessetan" the tickets are overly priced especially during this time where economy is not looking good in the coming months and will be worst in 2009, in addition expenses in thailand is much cheaper compared to TPE or HKG...on the other hand, hotels and flight tickets aint cheap during festive season. Anyway good luck, dun think i am attending.

DJ Tye was awful last time at Songkran. Why are they having him again???? All the other DJs look great. No need to repeat a DJ that people didn't like. Go get Wayne G or Luke Johnstone or Jamie Sanchez or Blaine Solieau if you want some American DJs that will spin up a storm and make bring down the house.

As long as gay people still can dance the night away in BKK e.g. at DJ for 200 Baht, at GOD for 480 Bt and at BED for 600 Bt (all including 2 drinks) there is no real need for overpriced parties.
BKK is not Singapore is not Taipeh.......
I think coz of economic and political problems plus not so exciting DJs u better cancel.
If u have money to waste or looking for some new business experiences then do it. Chok di khap (Good luck)
