涉嫌槍殺同性戀兒子的土耳其男子被缺席審判

9月8日，土耳其伊斯坦布爾的烏斯庫達地區法院開庭審理一名男子涉嫌槍殺自己親生兒子的案件，這位父親被控的殺人動機只是因為自己的兒子是同性戀者。

由於49歲的被告伊迪茲目前據稱已逃到伊拉克，法庭對他進行了缺席審判。據指控，伊迪茲在2008年6月的一天裡的開槍射殺了他26歲的兒子、參加物理教師職業培訓的阿梅特，只因阿梅特把自己正與來自德國的男友在一起的事告知了父親。伊迪茲被指控因不能接受兒子是同性戀者、也為了「維護家庭聲譽」而有準備的實施了謀殺行動。

據稱一位當地居民也在案發時遭伊迪茲槍擊受傷，這位居民也是本案原告之一。由於阿梅特的男友是德國人，本案也引起了德國媒體的注意。
