Hong Kong's politicians vote against law for same-sex unions

As its neighbour Taiwan heads to the polls tomorrow (Saturday) to vote in a public vote on same-sex marriage,

 

 

 

Hong Kong’s lawmakers have unanimously voted against a motion which would have set into motion a debate on legalizing same-sex unions.  Read more here! 

We find it astonishing that as a ‘World City’, Hong Kong would rule out even considering this important issue - but we hope that Taiwan will decide to be an inspiration on this issue of rights and equality.
