Asia's first LGBT boat parade to kick off Myanmar pride

Myanmar, where gay sex is still illegal, celebrated its first public pride last year and thousands are expected to attend Myanmar’s second-ever pride festival at the end of the month.

A flotilla of boats along the main river through commercial hub Yangon will kick off the festival on 26 January and festivities will continue the next day in a local park. It will host a Drag Olympics, performances, and an awards ceremony.
