The Allahabad High Court on Thursday revoked the decision of the Aligarh Muslim University to suspend a gay professor who was filmed having sex with a man in his official residence on the campus.
The following report was produced by a team of five lawyers and civil rights activists after newspapers widely reported the story of Dr. SR Siras who had been unknowingly filmed in his home having consensual sex with another adult male and subsequently suspended by the university he works at.

Over 80 academics from universities across India and elsewhere have signed an open letter in support of Dr. S R Siras, who was suspended from his university job, after being the victim of an alleged 'sting' operation in which he was filmed without his consent.
