The million-dollar insured butt that gay boys are dying for is back! And so is Jennifer Lopez. No, she doesn't have a new wardrobe though, just a little makeover with the horrible title of J To Tha L-O! Oh my goodness.
Jennifer Lopez doesn't seem to mind though…and she's beginning to emulate Ja Rule's chain of success in having guest artists on her tracks. Of course, Ja Rule made it possible for her to turn one miserable track in J.Lo into one of her biggest hits ever: the Murder Remix of I'm Real. It's safe to assume that the track is the main reason J To Tha L-O was even released. It's all about the cheddar, baby.
The Murder Remix of Ain't It Funny is another one of those tracks that "had to be" on the album just because Ja Rule is on it. And it "had to be" a Top 40 hit for the same reason.
Frankly, I think it sucks—the original was much better and that Gypsy male dancer in the video was way cuter than whatshisname. The only thing "funny" about the track is the way Lopez keeps blurting out the title. Now that's hilarious.
Unsurprisingly, not all the remixes here on J To Tha L-O! are new. Rather than have all remixes from J.Lo, they decided to add other remixed hits from On The 6, making the album a "Greatest Hits" one too. Fortunately, that wasn't a bad move.
Watch out for Alive (from her upcoming movie Enough) at the end of the CD. Talk about being anticlimactic! Keep shakin' your booty girl, ballads weren't made for you.
