It’s happening! The first same-sex couples to tie the knot in Asia

Hundreds of couples are scheduled to marry on Friday (24 May), the first day of same-sex marriage in Taiwan.

At least 289 same-sex couples were expected to marry at Household Registration Offices across the nation. Shane Yuan & Marc Lin and Chun-peng Chou & Meng-huan Lin were among the first to get married, signing marriage registration documents in the capital, Taipei.
