Cebu-based DJ Kate Jagdon and Andrea Mahinay are married. Jagdon shared the news in a 5 November Instagram post, with PhilSTAR Life and GMA Entertainment reporting that the couple wed in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The celebration grew out of a plan for a small elopement. In her caption, Jagdon joked that they were “terrible at keeping secrets and even worse at lying to our families”.

Family members joined them for the wedding, she wrote. Friends and relatives who could not be there followed through messages and updates, and she thanked those who had celebrated with them from afar.

Jagdon also looked ahead to a celebration in the Philippines. She said she hoped her home country would one day recognise their marriage, allowing them to marry again surrounded by the people they love.
