Here's definitely something for those who hate art films.
Crude and rude, loud and loutish, fun and funny, Team America:
World Police is an outrageous laugh-out-loud puppet movie about
a bunch of US government agents tasked to save the world from Middle
Eastern and North Korean terrorists.
They don't care what stands in their way. They'll blow up the Eiffel
Tower and any other famous monument if they have to just to get
to the baddies. While saving the world, these wooden puppets also
find time to fall in love.
The music is absolutely hilarious. In the funniest scene of all,
North Korean dictator Kim Jong Il sings a song about being a lonely
tyrant inside his big empty palace: "I'm ronely/I'm ronely."
The film is made by Trey Parker and Matt Stone who created South
Park, the side-splitting TV cartoon series that is so spectacularly
vulgar and disgusting, it is banned in Singapore.
