Here's a wonderfully peculiar kids' movie that all adults can enjoy.
Based on the loveable Lemony children's book series, it
tells a dark and amusing tale of three orphans whose parents have
just died in a fire.

The kids are sent to their distant uncle Olaf (the fabulously funny
Jim Carrey) to be looked after. But Olaf is so bizarrely greedy
and evil, the children soon find themselves packing up and moving
to another household, and then another. Each time, they encounter
some hilariously eccentric adult (including Meryl Streep as a crazy
aunt) with the strangest habits.

Not only is the story fascinating, the performances (particularly
Jim's) are top-notch. The set and costume designs for Lemony
Snicket
are also dazzling. Each scene is so packed with unusual
objects or details that you can't help but watch with childlike
amazement.

We prefer to call it A Series Of Very Fortunate Events.
