A few years ago, a real-life explosion at a North Korean train
station killed some 3,000 people. This horror film from Korea is
partially inspired by those events.
It stars Jang Sin-Young as a new train attendant on her first day
of work. Although the journey starts off well, she gets a strange
feeling of being transported to another time or era. Much to her
horror, she realizes that she is on a train ride that took place
many years ago that ended in disaster?
Like Premonition (below), this is yet another effectively-made
piece of horror. However, the glut of East Asian horror films in
our cinemas have made us indifferent to these films and Ghost
Train, unfortunately, does not stand out from the pack.
