If you love romantic comedies, you have probably seen most of these
hits. When Harry Met Sally, The Wedding Planner,
Meet the Fockers, Hitch, My Big Fat Greek
Wedding and Bridget Jones?Diary. Now if you want
to see the worst jokes from these rom-coms remixed into one really
lousy film, watch Date Movie.

Since Airplane successfully spoofed airplane movies in
1980, dozens of films have tried to spoof various genres. But unlike
Airplane, Top Secret (1984) and The Naked
Gun (1988), which actually come up with good original gags
to amuse you, Date Movie is just a crude, uninspired, cringe-inducing
ride.

For instance, we all know that J Lo has an ample posterior, so
the film devotes a whole segment to a J Lo-lookalike banging against
things with her enormous butt. Directors Jason Friedberg and Aaron
Seltzer take on such cheap and easy targets, yet they don't have
the slightest bit of imagination to make the jokes at least fresh
and unpredictable.
