Does Disney ever get tired to remaking its old movies? The answer
is no, especially not after the surprise box-office success of its
remakes Freaky Friday (2003) and Herbie: Fully Loaded
(2005).

And so now we have the steadfastly old-fashioned comedy The
Shaggy Dog, a remake of a 1959 film that was already remade
in 1976 and is remade again in 2006. It stars Tim Allen as a workaholic
lawyer who turns into a dog when his blood gets infected with special
canine blood. Being a dog, he gets to see how much he's been neglecting
his wife and kids. Blearrgh.

Disney should really try to come up with new material instead of
stealing old ideas from its past. One the other hand, there is definitely
someone whom we wish would revisit his past. Tim Allen, we liked
you so much better in Home Improvement.
