Homoerotic humour hits a hysterically high note this week with Blades of Glory — one of gayest straight films we've ever seen!

The absolutely hilarious comedy stars Will Ferrell and Jon Heder as two successful male figure-skaters whose bright careers come to a screeching halt when they are banned from performing in the male category. They decide to get around the ban by entering the world championships as a couple.

At first the public is totally disgusted by the idea of two men figure-skating together. But after the men give a graceful debut performance on ice, the world quickly comes to accept and adore them...

Expect plenty of homoerotic and homophobic jokes involving groins, erections, tattoos and sausages. When we watched the film at a sneak preview, the straight boys in the audience were simultaneously amused and disgusted by Will and Jon holding each other's hands and skating together.

We honestly wonder what effect Blades of Glory has on the large homophobic heterosexual population, who may not suspect how gay the film will be when they purchase a ticket to "a Will Ferrell comedy". But maybe, we shouldn't care.

We do know, however, that gay men and drag queens will enjoy the film immensely. So don't miss it!
