A few weeks ago I got a call from one of my producers Guy Sigsworth saying that he'd nearly finished the project he, and his colleague Andy Page, have been working on for the majority of 2007 - the brand new Alanis Morissette album 'Flavors of Entanglement'.
For my final post as guest blogger, I thought I'd share with you some musicians I love, all of whom have new albums on the way in 2008. I just noticed the majority are female singers but at least there's one guy!
To kick start Arjan's blog for 2008, I've come up with the perfect new artist to take away any hangover blues from New Years Eve! Valente is an extraordinary singer, producer and songwriter whose stunning debut EP 'Escape Artist' is out now on iTunes worldwide.

I met Alison Goldfrapp a couple of weeks ago to discuss Goldfrapp's upcoming new album "The Seventh Tree." She told me that the toned down sound of the duo's new record is a result of healthy artistic progression and simply doing "what felt right."
Newcomers The Gadsdens like to describe their music as "Tracy Chapman on uppers and Stevie Nicks on downers," and that's a pretty good way to sum up their sound. The Gadsdens combine melodic sensibilities with a heartfelt delivery that results in poignant pop music that will move you.
